Professor Francesco Filippi is the Director of the Centre for Transport and Logistics (CTL) at the University of Rome La Sapienza. CTL is active in European Commission research projects and in all transport sectors in Italy. The areas of specialisation for both research and practical applications are: urban transport, technology assessment, transport planning, road safety, public transport, telematics technologies for transport, freight transport and logistics. He has served as Italian representative on Transport Research Committee of the European Commission. He is an associate editor of the European Transport Research Review.

Luca Capra is an electronic engineer with 10 years’ experience, first as a researcher in ICT field in the largest industrial research centre in Italy – FIAT Research Centre – and afterwards as an expert in the support of SME’s in the start up process, innovation and technology transfer activities, in his current hosting company, the Development Agency of the Autonomous Province of Trento (Trentino Sviluppo).
He leads the Enterprise and Innovation Department, managing start up incubation activities (90 companies are hosted in 1 B.I.C. and 6 satellites) and projects that support and advise SME’s in innovation, industrial research projects as well as business model strategic development.
Late 2010 he has been designated member of the Board of PNICube – the Italian academic association of Incubators and Business Plan Competitions.
He has been member of the Board of Eurada, the European Association of Development Agencies and has been engaged since 2008 by EBN (European BIC network) as an expert to perform evaluation missions in the framework of the BIC trademark licence, assessing associated B.I.C.’s. In 2011-2012 he has been involved by EBN as an expert in the support to the creation of a B.I.C. network in Ukraine (in the framework of European Project – Europe Aid – “Development of financial schemes and infrastructure to support innovation in Ukraine”).
He is the coordinator of project CULTWAyS.
