bavAIRia is the satellite navigation application cluster mandated by the Bavarian State Ministry of economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology to develop the technology location Bavaria with respect to GNSS and satellite applications by implementing support programmes for its more than 150 cluster companies, like e.g. user forums in tourism, security, transport and rail, road shows for awareness raising as well as for technology and innovation consulting.
Founded in 2006 in the vicinity of the German Aerospace Centre, DLR, and the Galilieo Control Centre, it participates in European innovation support networks within the Regions of Knowledge initiative of DG Research, Sidereus as part of DG ENTR’s EuropeAid, as well as in KIS4SAT / Europe INNOVA of DG ENTR. In 2009 ENCADRE, the European Network of Clusters for Satellite Application Development, has been founded together with the Alpes-Maritimes Region in France.
Role in the EMMIA Consortium
Project management, coordination, subcontracting of creative agency. LP is responsible for the call for expression of interest for Committed regions to join and name local experts for collaborating with platform and extending it to about 20 regions.
