TARGET GROUPS are:

Regions and cities, on their own, control and maintain a big part of Europe‘s mobility infrastructures such as roads, airports, harbours and public transport systems. These infrastructures are among the world’s best when offering the latest technologies in a reliable and efficient manner.

At the same time cities and regions are facing societal challenges such as resource management, aging society, sustainable growth, reduction of emissions and integration of minorities.

Cities and regions are home to entrepreneurs, especially those pushing the use of new technologies like the European Union’s space infrastructures EGNOS and GALILEO and mobile Internet access.

Regional innovation policies of tomorrow lead the change paved by today’s technologies and societal challenges. They take account of the strengths of Europe’s cities and regions while respecting its challenges and boundary conditions. Europe’s chance in today’s ubiquitous smartphones and mobile devices trend lies in delivering smart mobile services on top if its mobility infrastructures. It is about building functioning ecosystems of support structures for innovative small and medium-sized enterprises in the above described service sectors.

Beneficiary for INDUSTRIAL STRUCTURE supporters:

  • Implementing EMMIA road maps, the regions develop a functional long-term strategy in which all regional institutions can play a proactive role in this ecosystem (its creators)
  • Supporters have a tool for flexible, stable and well-treated ecosystem development. This is the result of their everyday long-term work with EMMIA road maps.
  • They can regularly enlarge new services/features etc. for SMEs and start-ups in such a fruitful ecosystem.
  • Industrial structure is attractive for (even global) mobility industries’ investors to enter region supporting excellent cross-country and cross-industry services.
